During the past five decades our diets and lifestyles have changed more radically than in the previous 2,000 years and that's saying a lot. Stress, pollution, pesticides, overuse of antibiotics and prescription drugs, plus a huge increase in the amount of fast food we eat has undoubtedly contributed to many, many healthy problems. Many of the foods we eat consist of highly refined, mass-produced, prepackaged foods that often contain excessive amounts of salt, sugar, and chemical additives, such as preservatives, flavorings and gmo's.
Unfortunately, many people talk about healthy eating, but in reality, continue to eat poorly. It takes more than wishful thinking to change our unhealthy eating habits. Don't you agree? Eventually, this pattern of unhealthy eating leads to a deficiency in vital nutrients, it overloads the system with toxins, and we become sick.
Remarkable, the body can often heal itself if given the right tools for the job. Isn't that amazing! Food used properly and in the correct balance makes potent medicine. We all have the freedom to choose what we put in our mouths, and if you want to become and stay healthier, we will need to make the right choices. If you are reading these words, you have already taken a step in the right direction.
